About the State


Mato Grosso do Sul is near the south and southeast states of Brazil and it is on the border with Paraguay, being also very close to Bolivia. The state has several traditions and a history so rich and so diversified as its people and its landscapes. It has an indigenous population of about seventy thousand people and the third biggest japanese community in Brazil. 

In the agriculture stands out as one of the leading producers in the country. It is considered one of the greatest producers of soybean, wheat, sugarcane and beef cattle in Brazil.

Mato Grosso do Sul is also one of the most beautiful states in Brazil, due to its richness in plants, animals and natural resources. It is considered the Ecotourism State due to Bonito and Pantanal, two unique places that attract visitants from all over the world.
Bonito is known for its crystalline waters and exuberant nature. It is just 270 Kilometers away from Dourados city. It is the perfect place to see beautiful waterfalls and transparent rivers. Pantanal is one of the world’s largest freshwater ecosystems in the world.
