The Social Sciences course prepares professionals to act as interlocutors in the social processes of a world in constant transformation. The three major areas of the course are Anthropology, Political Science and Sociology and the proposal is to train professionals with a comprehensive and critical view based on interdisciplinary knowledge about social, cultural, political and economic phenomena. It is a profession that requires a critical sense, a broad view of society and the ability to carry out research, planning and technical-scientific advice in private and governmental agencies, whose job market is promising in the Grande Dourados region and in other regions of Mato Grosso do Sul, of the country and even of the Mercosur. The social scientist works in the area of planning, consulting, training and assistance in companies, non-governmental and governmental organizations, political parties, social movements and in the educational sector, since there is, regulated by law, the recent obligation of Sociology teaching to students at high school, which will create a new market for the course graduates.
