Bachelor’s and the Teaching Degree in Performing Arts


Provide the undergraduate student of Performing Arts with a strong cultural background through research, community outreach and class education, so that they can become agents of art, creative autonomy and critical thinking.
 
Contribute to the development of the students’ critical thinking, so that they can effectively read the several performing languages as well as put to practice all sorts of activities relative to those languages.
 
Stimulate critical thinking in relation to the understanding of cultural identity and to the role of the professional of performing arts as a transforming individual regarding knowledge.
 
Promote the development of competences for research, community outreach and class education, taking into consideration the plurality of performing languages.
 
Stimulate research, emphasizing the study, analysis and documentation of the culture of the region and the country.
 
Develop professionals who are licensed to work as teachers of Performing Arts in the general community, thus contributing to the acknowledgement and the diffusion of theatrical expression in its several manifestations.
 
Promote educational background of art teachers who can meet the needs related to the domain of performing art languages in Basic Education.
