Nutrition


    The Nutrition course was created at UFGD in 2009, with the aim of enabling community access to free higher education in the health area. The job market for nutritionists is expanding, both in the public and private sectors. The professional, in addition to working in traditional places such hospitals, public health programs and company restaurants, can work in gyms, offices, in home guidance, social entities, nursing homes, restaurants, supermarkets, snack bars, university teaching, research centers, catering and food industries. According to ANVISA, most of these sectors are obliged to have a nutritionist as the technician responsible for the area.
    The main objective of the course is to form a generalist nutritionist, capable of working in different areas of knowledge, in which Food and Nutrition are fundamental, and with the ability to seek continuing education, contributing to the improvement of health levels and life quality of the Brazilian population.
