Dean’s Office for Human Resource Management - Progesp


The Dean’s Office for Human Resource Management is the department which manages all the people who work in UFGD and who collaborate with the construction and consolidation of the university. This Dean’s Office deals with both the administrative management, which involves controlling work records and details, and the implementation of policies for the development of employees and also actions regarding health promotion, prevention and protection.
The Dean’s Office for Human Resource Management has two administrative coordination offices: the Coordination Office for Personnel Management and Planning and the Coordination Office for Personnel Development and Assistance. These Coordination Offices have divisions which are responsible for several services that are provided by the university to its employees. In addition to that, the Dean for Human Resource Management also holds responsibility for the administrative office, advising office and the Department of Control and Application of Rules and Regulations.  
The Coordination Office for Personnel Management and Planning is responsible for managing payroll, work records, registrations, hiring and firing processes of effective, temporary, commissioned and internship employees. The Office has two departments: Department of Personnel Management and the Department of Personnel Planning.
The Department of Personnel Management is responsible for administrative services and procedures related to active and inactive employees in the payroll of the institution. It must control work records, payments and tax payments regarding these employees and feed the personnel management systems relevant information.
The Department of Personnel Planning is responsible for services and procedures related to hiring and firing processes of UFGD. It must plan all actions regarding human resources, controlling the number of employees who enter and who leave the institution.
The Coordination Office for Personnel Development and Assistance plans and executes permanent actions for accompanying, evaluating and helping develop all employees of the university. This office works with continuing education and work improvement, as well as with health promotion and assistance. It has two internal departments: the Department of Development and Evaluation and the Department of Assistance and Occupational Safety and Health.
The Department of Development and Evaluation is responsible for administrative service and procedures related to career development through continuing education, progressions and promotions as well as issues regarding evaluations during the probationary period and also performance evaluations.
The Department of Assistance and Occupational Safety and Health is responsible for creating, executing, supporting and promoting projects and actions regarding health and quality of life for all employees of the institution. This Department is also responsible for the area of occupational safety, under the perspective of the Policy for Occupational Safety and Health of Federal Public Employees (PASS).
PROGESP is glad to serve all employees who work at UFGD, such as technical-administrative personnel, professors, interns, resident doctors, resident multiprofessionals, substitute, visiting and collaborating voluntary professors. The Dean’s Office for Human Resource Management is open to solve administrative problems, career development, health and procedural issues as well as matters involving the work environment.
