The mechanical engineer is a key player in the technological development of Brazil. The engineer develops, designs, builds and maintains machinery and equipment such as vehicles, aircraft, vessels, medical devices, robots, heating and cooling systems and industry-specific tools. Acts in the calculation of the necessary amount of raw material, provides parts molds, creates prototypes, develops projects of machines and equipment, models and simulates engineering situations through concepts of mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, electricity, structural analysis and tests the products obtained. Supervises processes and defines safety rules and procedures.
